How I Got Here In The First Place
I am a twenty-year old living in NYC. I first moved here when I was eighteen shortly after signing with my first modeling agency.
I took a risk and didn’t go straight to college right out of high school and instead had my own custom desserts business in Northern California that I started during Covid.
I did this because I didn’t want to take out massive loans for a college degree I wasn’t sure I even wanted. I always wanted to act but it wasn’t an option where I lived which lead me down TikTok’s Modeling rabbit hole – and where do you go when you want to be a model?

Well, NYC or LA and while I already lived in CA I would rather sell a kidney then happily pay to live in LA which is why I turned down my first Modeling Contract offer and let me just say, I went back and forth with that decision for months before I was offered a contract from multiple agencies I thought I had no chance signing with.
How To Tell The Family
My family had no clue I was trying to become a model mostly because I was 18 and could sign everything myself. So after I made a decision and signed a three year contract (my commitment issues were screaming) I told my parents and about three months later I packed a suitcase and duffel bag, booked a one way ticket to NYC and found a place to live off Facebook.
